Bipolar confrontation in international relations theory perspective

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce, je představit nejdůležitější teze teoretických přístupů zabývající se interpretací bipolární konfrontace, jejíchž nedílnou součástí je samotný historický průběh tohoto konfliktu, na který teoretici aplikovali posléze své teorie a východiska z daných situací. Zároveň se práce pomocí jednotlivých teoretických přístupů snaží objasnit příčiny a důsledky, a to jak samotného vzniku a konce bipolární konfrontace, tak jednotlivých historických událostí s ní spojené. Práce se též snaží vysvětlit důvody přeměny některých přístupů a vzniku nových, též reagujících na události tehdejší doby. V neposlední řadě práce prezentuje zásadní rozdíly mezi sovětským a americkým polem teorií mezinárodních vztahů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the main argument of theoretical approaches which deal with interpretation of the bipolar confrontation. Its an integral part is historical progress of this conflict, on which theorists later applied their theories and ways out of the situations. The bachelor thesis also tryes to use different theoretical approaches to explain the causes and consequences ? the emergence and end of bipolar confrontation so as various historical events associated with it. Thesis also tries to explain the reasons for transformation of some selected approaches and the emergence of new, also reacting to the events of that time. At last but not least, bachelor thesis presents a fundamental differences between Soviet and American theories of international relations.
