Percipovaný konflikt mezi rodiči a vztah k nejlepšímu kamarádovi v pozdní adolescenci: souvislosti s citovou vazbou

Childrens Perception of Interparental Conflict and the relationship to the best friend in a late adolescents

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na zkoumání vztahu mezi percipovaným rodičovským konfliktem a internalizovanými problémy starších adolescentů a zaměřuje se na souvislosti se vztahy k významným blízkým, především pak k nejbližšímu kamarádovi. Zpracované téma je nahlíženo z hlediska teorie citové vazby. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda i v tomto věku mají dva aspekty rodičovského konfliktu (vnímané ohrožení a sebeobviňování) souvislost s depresivními symptomy adolescentů. Také jsme ověřovali vztahy mezi jednotlivými dimenzemi citové vazby a zjišťovali, zda existuje souvislost mezi vnímaným ohrožením rodičovským konfliktem a úzkostností ve vztahu k nejlepšímu kamarádovi. Studie vychází z kvantitativního designu, data jsme získali od 246 studentů gymnázií ve věku 17-19 let. Depresivní symptomy byly měřeny pomocí dotazníku Mood and Feelings Questionnaire (MFQ), vnímání rodičovského konfliktu pak nástrojem Children´s Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale (CPIC) a dimenze citové vazby (úzkostnost a vyhýbavost) byly měřeny dotazníkem Relationships Structures Questionnaire (RS). Výsledky ukazují, že i v pozdní adolescenci existuje vztah mezi rodičovským konfliktem a depresivitou, a to jak u chlapců, tak i u děvčat. Pokud jde o citovou vazbu, pak u starších adolescentů je úzkostnost ve vztahu k matce spojena s úzkostností ve vztahu ke kamarádovi a stejně tak je úzkostnost ve vztahu k otci spojena s úzkostností ve vztahu ke kamarádovi. Toto však neplatí o dimenzi vyhýbavosti, kde vztah nebyl nalezen. Výsledky naznačují stabilitu sebeobrazu ve vztahu k rodičům a nejlepšímu kamarádovi a naopak diferenciaci reprezentace druhých. Byl také potvrzen vztah mezi vnímaným ohrožením konfliktem rodičů a úzkostností ve vztahu k nejlepšímu kamarádovi, což ukazuje na možnost narušení sebeobrazu starších adolescentů vystavením rodičovskému konfliktu. V závěru studie jsou navrženy možné implikace do praxe.

Abstract:

This study is focused on exploration of the relationship between percieved interparental conflict and internalizing problems of late adolescents. It concentrates on connections between interparental conflicts and relationships to significant others mainly to the best friend. The subject is seen from the perspective of attachment theory. The aim of our study was to find out, if there is a connection between both the two aspects of marital conflict (perceived threat and self-blame) and late adolescents´ depressive symptoms. We also tried to examine the mutual relationship between the dimensions of attachment to mother, father and the best friend. Our aim was to learn, if there is a connection between perceived threat of interparental conflict and anxiety in the relationship to the best friend. Our study comes out of the quantitative design, we gathered the data from 246 grammar school students (from 17 to 19 years old). Depressive symptoms were measured by the Mood and Feelings Questionnaire (MFQ) perceiving of the parental conflict was measured by the Children´s Perception of Interparental Scale (CPIC). Two dimensions of attachment (anxiety and avoidance) were measured by the Relationships Structures Questionnaire (RS). The findings of the study support the idea that a connection between interparental conflict and depressivity of late adolescents exists. Late adolescents´ anxiety to mother (as well as to father) is connected with anxiety to the best friend but not avoidance. That indicates that late adolescents´ self-esteem is stable in the relationship to mother, father and the best friend. On the contrary late adolescents differentiate mental representations of others. A connection of percieved threat of the parental conflict and anxiety to the best friend was proved. It is presumable that parental conflict disturbs late adolescents´ self-esteem. Possible practical implications are discussed.
