Factors affecting health in the profession of social worker

Abstract:

Úkolem bakalářské práce je popsat faktory, které ohrožují zdraví sociálního pracovníka při výkonu jeho profese, a zároveň také nastínit i možné způsoby prevence. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část empirickou. Teoretická část obsahuje čtyři kapitoly. První kapitola je zaměřena na obecné vymezení sociální práce a sociálního pracovníka. Druhá kapitola je věnována vymezení dvou pojmů, zdraví a nemoc, které jsou pro tuto práci stěžejní. Třetí kapitola popisuje několik rizikových faktorů, kterým musí sociální pracovník při výkonu své profese čelit. Čtvrtá kapitola nabízí přehled možných preventivních opatření, která mohou přispívat k případné minimalizaci rizikových faktorů. Empirická část je zaměřena na prezentaci výsledků zjištěných prostřednictvím kvantitativní výzkumné strategie.

Abstract:

The goal of the Bachelor?s thesis is to describe the factors endangering health of a social worker at the performance of their job as well as to suggest possible prevention. The Bachelor?s thesis is divided to theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part consists of four chapters. The firn chapter deals with general definition of social work and a social worker. The second chapter defines the terms of health and disease which are crucial for this thesis. The third chapter describes several risk factors a social worker hat to cope with at the performance of their job. The fourth chapter offers an overview of possible preventive measures which can contribute to potential minimization of the risk factors. The empiric part focuses on the presentation of results obtained by means of the quantitative research strategy.
