Extremism in the Skinhead subculture

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá subkulturou skinheads, jejím vznikem, vývojem a postupnou transformací. Dále se snaží vysvětlit a charakterizovat pojmy jako je kultura, subkultura, hnutí, extremismus. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována jednotlivým odnožím skinheads, ve kterých se vyskytují rozdíly nejen v míře nacionalismu, ale také v ideologii rasismu. Největší pozornost je věnována ultrapravicovým skinheads. Důležitou součástí je také objasnění skutečností, které vedly ke vzniku nových, extremistických odnoží. Pro práci je důležitý také fakt, že se z tradiční ideologie skinheads vytratily původní myšlenky, které byly přetransformovány do extrémních podob.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with skinhead subculture, its begginings, developement and gradual transformation. The thesis interprets terms as culture, subculture, movement and extremism. Special attention is focused on individual skinhead offsets, which differ in their nationalism degree as well as in racism ideology. The core attention of the thesis focuses on ultraconservative skinheads. Another important part explains circumstances which led to creation of new extremistic skinhead offsets. The thesis also emphasises the fact that original ideas, which have emerged from traditional skinhead ideology, were transformed into extremism.
