Agregace β-amyloid proteinu a disociace tau proteinu z mikrotubul s jeho následným uložením do neurofibrilárních shluků jsou dva nejčastější patologické jevy pozorované ve spojení s Alzheimerovou chorobou. V druhém uvedeném případě bylo nalezeno mnoho proteinů, především z rodiny 14-3-3 proteinů, které interagovaly s tau, což naznačuje důležitost této interakce pro agregaci. Abstract:
The aggregation of β-amyloid protein and the dissociation of tau protein from microtubules and its deposition into neurofibrillary tangles are the most prevalent pathological features of Alzheimer's disease. In the latter case, many other proteins, especially proteins from the 14-3-3 family, associate with tau, indicating the importance of this interaction for aggregation.
