Dependence of the position of the center of rotation of the eye on the level and type of refractive errors

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá polohou středu otáčení očí v závislosti na velikosti a typu refrakční vady očí. Konkrétně tedy jak se změní poloha středu otáčení očí s refrakčními vadami oproti očím emetropickým. Teoretická část shrnuje poznatky související s osami lidského oka a refrakčními vadami, konkrétně s myopií, hypermetropií, astigmatismem a presbyopií. Druhá polovina teoretické části je zaměřena na střed otáčení oka, podstatu centrace brýlových čoček na skutečný střed otáčení oka a také na bodové zobrazení. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, jak se změní poloha středu otáčení oka v závislosti na typu a velikosti dané refrakční vady za předpokladu, že u očí myopických bude střed otáčení oka ve vzdálenosti větší nežli u oka emetropického. Naopak u oka hypermetropického lze předpokládat polohu středu otáčení oka ve vzdálenosti menší nežli u oka emetropického.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the position of the center of rotation of the eyes de-pending on the size and type of refractive error of the eyes. Specifically, how does the position of the center of rotation of the eyes with refractive errors change com-pared to emmetropic eyes. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge related to the axes of the human eye and refractive errors, namely myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and presbyopia. The second half of the theoretical part is focused on the center of rotation of the eye, the essence of centering the spectacle lenses on the true center of rotation of the eye and also on the point view with a spectacle lens. The aim of the practical part is to find out how the position of the center of rotation of the eye will change depending on the type and level of the refractive error, as-suming that the center of rotation of the eye will be at a greater distance in myopic eyes than the case of emmetropic eyes. On the contrary, in the case of a hyperme-tropic eye, the position of the center of rotation of the eye can be assumed to be at a smaller distance than in the case of emmetropic eye.
