Evaluation of the financial health of the company PORR, Plc.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnocení finančního zdraví společnosti PORR, a.s. za roky 2018 až 2022, a to s využitím účetních výkazů společnosti. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na představení finanční analýzy, charakteristiku zdrojů dat finanční analýzy v podobě účetních výkazů a určení uživatelů finanční analýzy. V metodologické části jsou definovány konkrétní metody finanční analýzy, a to sice analýza stavových a intenzivních ukazatelů, analýza fondu finančních prostředků a soustavy ukazatelů. Praktická část je zaměřena na aplikaci jednotlivých metod v uvedeném pořadí, a to za současného porovnávání s konkurenční společností HOCHTIEF CZ, a.s. V závěru práce dochází k celkovému zhodnocení finanční analýzy, určení silných stránek a definování doporučení ke zlepšení. Na základě zjištěných poznatků lze společnost PORR, a.s. považovat za finančně zdravou a konkurenceschopnou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis uses the company's financial statements to evaluate the financial health of PORR, Plc. for the years 2018 to 2022. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on introducing financial analysis, characterizing the sources of financial analysis data in the form of financial statements, and identifying the users of financial analysis. In the methodological part, specific financial analysis methods are defined, namely the horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, differential indicators and bankruptcy and creditworthiness models. The practical part focuses on applying the individual methods in the order mentioned above while comparing them with the competitor company HOCHTIEF CZ, Plc. The thesis concludes with an overall evaluation of the financial analysis, identification of strengths, and definition of recommendations for improvement. Based on the findings, PORR, Plc. can be considered financially sound and competitive.
