The transformation of family pension to the hotel.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem transformace rodinného penzionu na hotel. Cílem práce je stanovit kroky transformace předmětného penzionu na zařízení kategorie hotel, třídy Standard (***) včetně odhadu nákladů a času. Dalším cílem je kromě mandatorních kroků navrhnout další změny vybraných zásadních oblastí včetně stavebních úprav, úprav poskytovaných služeb, změn v personální oblasti, změn v marketingu a propagaci (především se zaměřením na internetovou propagaci) a tím pomoci uvést tento podnik jako úspěšné a fungující zařízení na trh. V práci jsou použity metody studia podkladů a dokumentů, pozorování, dotazování majitelů penzionu a analýza současného stavu a jeho porovnání vůči seznamu kritérií. Je zde také zahrnuta analýza SWOT, analýza konkurence spočívající v porovnání hlavních konkurentů s penzionem. Výsledkem práce jsou návrhy a doporučení, jak provést transformaci tak, aby byl podnik jednak úspěšně zařazen do kategorie hotel a třídy Standard Superior a zároveň představoval fungující zařízení přinášející zisk. Nejdůležitějšími závěry práce jsou vytvořený návod pro majitele a potvrzení hypotéz, že uvedené zařízení je možné transformovat na hotel třídy Standard (***) v relativně krátkém časovém horizontu a bez významných investic.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with a transformation of a family guesthouse into a hotel. The aim is to set the steps of the transformation of the guesthouse into a Standard class hotel (***) including estimates of costs and time. Another aim is, except for some mandatory steps, to suggest some other changes in particular areas such as building alteration, service adjustment, changes in a personnel sphere, marketing and promotion (mainly focusing on Internet promotion) and to help bring this facility on the market as a successful and efficient one. In the thesis I used methods of studying data and documents, observation, interviewing the owners of the guesthouse, analysis of a current situation and a comparison with a list of criteria. I also included a SWOT analysis, analysis of competitors. The results of the thesis are suggestions and recommendations on how to make the transformation so that the facility could be successfully included into a hotel category and Standard Superior class and present a working facility that brings profit as well. The most important conclusions of the thesis are a manual for the owner and a confirmation of the hypothesis that the facility can be transformed into a Standard class hotel (***) in a relatively short time and without significant investment.
