This Thesis deals with the protection of rights of patients, especially from the viewpoint of public law. The chapter entitled „Zdravotní služby a práva pacienta“ discusses some constitutional aspects of this issue, and clarifies the role of the ombudsman in the field of protection of patient´s rights.
