Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat pojetí systému rehabilitační péče ve Spojených státech amerických, dále deskriptivní metodou popsat a objasnit, jakým způsobem funguje systém rehabilitace ve Spojených státech amerických. V teoretické části jsou popsána teoretická východiska práce, definovány základní pojmy z oblasti rehabilitace, její historie, vznik a vývoj konceptu koordinované rehabilitace. Následuje přehledná charakteristika Spojených států amerických, ve které je objasněna struktura zdravotní a sociální péče, dále vymezuje problematiku disabilit v kontextu s legislativními úpravami v rámci koordinované péče. Výzkumná část analyzuje systém koordinované péče skrze federální agentury, jako hlavní poskytovatele služeb v komparaci služeb nabízených neziskovými a dobrovolnými organizacemi. Diskuze nabízí názory a stanoviska na systém rehabilitační péče jak z pohledu jejich poskytovatelů, tak jejími příjemci.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is to analyze the concept of rehabilitation care in the United States, as well as a using a descriptive method to describe and explain how the system of rehabilitation works in the United States. The theoretical part describes the theoretical background work, defines the basic concepts of rehabilitation, its history, origin and evolution of the concept of coordinated rehabilitation. Its followed by a clear description of the United States, which is explained the structure of the health and social care, defines the issue of disabilities in the context of legislative changes within the coordinated care. The research part analyzes the system of coordinated care through federal agencies such major service providers in comparison with services offered by non-profit and voluntary organizations. Discussion offers ideas and opinions on the system of rehabilitative care from the perspective of providers and recipients.
