Abstract:
Cílem této práce je analýza díla A Dance to the Music of Time od Anthonyho Powella z hlediska válečných a poválečných zkušeností. Tato práce se též snaží zmapovat život Powella a porovnat ho s charaktery v jeho díle. Kromě toho se práce věnuje inspiraci Powella a jeho vztahu k ostatnímu autorům, stejně tak jako k naturalismu.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the work of Anthony Powell, A Dance to the Music of Time. Furthermore, this work tries to analyse Powell´s life and his war experience with conjunction with his work and the character in his cycle. In addition, the thesis closely follows and analyses the inspiration for the Dance and Powell´s relationship to several authors and naturalism.
