The Socio-economic analysis of selected districts of the North Bohemian Basin (Most Basin) with focus on health of the population

Abstract:

Název této diplomové práce je Socioekonomická analýza vybraných okresů Severočeské (mostecké) pánve s důrazem na zdraví obyvatel. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnocení okresů Chomutov, Most, Teplice a Ústí nad Labem z hlediska vývoje vybraných socioekonomických ukazatelů, které jsou sledovány od konce osmdesátých let až do současnosti a komparovány s ČR. Specifické zaměření se týká vyhodnocení zdravotního stavu obyvatelstva okresů ovlivněného dlouhodobou těžbou uhlí. Ve stěžejních kapitolách jsou charakterizovány přírodní podmínky, obyvatelstvo, sídelní struktura, ekonomika, zdravotnická vybavenost. Dále pak vybrané úmrtnostní poměry, naděje dožití, věková struktura a zdraví obyvatelstva. Většina dat je převážně využita z dostupných statistik Českého statistického úřadu. Hlavní metodou práce s daty je časová a prostorová komparativní analýza.

Abstract:

The name of this diploma thesis The Socio-economic analysis of selected districts of the North Bohemian Basin (Most Basin) with focus on health of the population. The main objective is an evaluation of North Bohemian Basin from the viewpoint trends of selected socio-economic indicators, which are monitored from the end of the eighties to the present, and compared with the Czech Republic. Specific focus is on evaluation of the health condition of population in the region, which is influenced by long-term coal mining. The main chapters include the natural conditions, population, settlement structure, economy, health facilities. Then selected mortality rates, expectation of life, age structure and population health. Most of the data is mainly used from the available statistics of the Czech Statistical Office. The main method of working with data is a time and space comparative analysis.
