The offer of career guidance services for adults

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá kariérovým poradenstvím pro dospělé. První tři kapitoly se zaměřují na klíčové pojmy, na jejichž základech kariérové poradenství staví, a které je hlavně nutné vysvětlit pro správné chápání tohoto pojmu. Patří mezi ně poradenství, změny ve společnosti a s tím související potřeba odpovídajícího poradenství, dále vymezení dospělé skupiny obyvatelstva a jejich kariéry. Ve čtvrté kapitole se věnuji specifickému kariérovému poradenství, následně v páté kapitole službám kariérového poradenství a jejich poskytovatelům. Poslední kapitola v teoretické části se zabývá užší částí služeb, a to nabídce kariérového poradenství zaměstnavatelem, ze které vycházím v empirické části. Uskutečněním kvalitativního výzkumu jsem se snažila obohatit odborné poznání konceptu kariérového poradenství, které je zatím v počátcích svého vývoje. Určitě bych tuto práci doporučila všem dospělým, kterým může spolehlivě vysvětlit, proč kariérové poradenství existuje, a jak ho mohou sami využívat ve svůj prospěch.

Abstract:

This thesis engages in career guidance for adults. The first three chapters focus on key concepts, which builds the foundations of career guidance. These concepts must be explained for the proper understanding of the term. Concepts include guidance, changes in society and the associated need of appropriate guidance, as well as the definition of the adult population and their careers. The fourth chapter is devoted to a specific career guidance. Then in the fifth chapter, I describe the career guidance services and their providers. The last chapter, in the theoretical part, deals with the narrower parts of the services, and offer of career guidance to the employees. The empirical part is devoted to qualitative research in selected company. I tried to enhance the professional knowledge of the concept of career guidance, which is still in its early stage of development. I would like to recommend this thesis for all adults, who want to know what career guidance is, and how they can benefit from it.
