The role of the school psychologist in the context of the war situation in Ukraine

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu role školního psychologa v kontextu válečné situace na Ukrajině. Cílem práce je zjistit a zanalyzovat, jaká byla role školních psychologů v rámci válečné situace na Ukrajině a jak se školní psychologové vypořádali s integrací dětí přicházejících z válečné Ukrajiny. Teoretická část práce si klade za cíl charakterizovat psychické trauma, válečné trauma u dětí a doprovodné projevy včetně posttraumatických projevů a možnosti práce s traumatem. Výzkumná část práce si klade za cíl zmapovat přípravu a nastavení podpůrných opatření před příchodem ukrajinských dětí. Dále také objasnit, jak školní psychologové zjišťovali u daných dětí bližší anamnestické údaje a případné prožité traumatizující zkušenosti. Zjistit, jak vypadala a probíhala případná krizová intervence. Získat informace o tom, jak školní psychologové pracovali s těmito traumatizovanými dětmi a s kým na pomoci těmto dětem spolupracovali. Výzkum využívá kvalitativní design. Sběr dat probíhá skrze metodu rozhovoru s cílovou skupinou, kterou představují školní psychologové na základních školách.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the school psychologist‘s role in the context of the war situation in Ukraine. The aim of the work is to find out and analyze what was the role of school psychologists in the context of the war situation in Ukraine and how school psychologists dealt with the integration of children arriving from wartime Ukraine. The theoretical part of the work aims to characterize psychical trauma, war trauma of children and accompanying manifestations, including post-traumatic manifestations and the possibility of work with trauma. The research part of the diploma thesis aims to map the preparation and setting of support measures before the arrival of Ukrainian children. Furthermore, it aims to clarify how the school psychologists ascertained more detailed anamnestic data and possible traumatic experiences of the given children, find out how a possible crisis intervention looked and took place and it get information about how school psychologists worked with these traumatized children and who they worked with to help these children. The research uses a qualitative design. Data collection takes place through the interview method with the target group, which is represented by school psychologists in elementary schools.
