Sales Specifics for Retirement Saving Products in Czech Savings Bank

Abstract:

Abstrakt Práce se zabývá specifikou prodeje produktů České spořitelny v souvislosti s připravovanou důchodovou reformou. Poukazuje na současné sociální a ekonomické problémy spojené s pokračujícím stárnutím populace a s všeobecnou nízkou finanční gramotností obyvatel České republiky. Cílem bylo posouzení a vyhodnocení prodejní a komunikační účinnosti dvou kampaní České spořitelny, zaměřených na aktivaci klientů pro spoření a investování na důchod. Teoretická část je rozdělena na dva ucelené bloky, z nichž první se zaměřuje na současný důchodový systém České republiky, dále pak detailně rozebírá důchodovou reformu a stav finanční gramotnost české populace. Druhá část se věnuje psychologickým aspektům procesu nákupního rozhodování spotřebitele a vlastnímu prodeji finančních produktů. Praktická část obsahuje detailní analýzu investic do podílových fondů a penzijního připojištění ČS a porovnání jejich výkonnosti. Výsledky jsou východiskem pro marketingovou analýzu podpory prodeje. Interpretace a vyhodnocení získaných dat jsou použitelná pro praktická doporučení k zvýšení efektivnosti prodeje produktů České spořitelny.

Abstract:

Abstract The thesis deals with the specifics of the sale of products of Czech Savings Bank in connection with the planned pension reform. It refers to the current social and economic problems associated with the continuing aging of population as well as with generally low financial literacy of the Czech population. The aim was to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of two sales and communication campaigns of Czech Savings Bank aimed at activating clients to save and invest for their retirement. The theoretical part is divided into two comprehensive parts, the first of which focuses on the current pension system in the Czech Republic, further on it analyses in detail the pension reform and the financial literacy capabilities of the Czech population. The second part deals with the psychological aspects of consumer decision-making in the buying process as well as with the selling of financial products itself. The practical part contains a detailed analysis of investments in mutual funds and supplementary pension insurance of Czech Saving Bank as well as the comparison of their performances. The results represent the basis of the marketing sales promotion analysis. Interpretation and evaluation of the data obtained are applicable in order to provide practical recommendations to increase the sales effectiveness of Czech Savings Bank’s products.
