Long-term Volunteering in Hospital at Working Volunteers in the Life Story Context.

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá tématem dlouhodobého dobrovolnictví v nemocnici u pracujících dobrovolníků v kontextu životního příběhu. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. První kapitola teoretické části se věnuje dobrovolnictví, vymezuje pojem dobrovolnictví, typy dobrovolnictví, zmiňuje současné trendy a význam dobrovolnictví. Ve druhé kapitole je specifikováno dobrovolnictví v nemocnici, jeho historie, dále je zmiňováno dobrovolnické centrum a přínos dobrovolnictví do nemocnice. Třetí kapitola je věnována motivaci v dobrovolnictví, jsou zmíněny perspektivy v náhledu na motivaci, zmíněny jsou teorie motivace v kontextu dobrovolnické činnosti a faktory ovlivňující motivaci k dlouhodobé dobrovolnické činnosti. Empirická část obsahuje metodologický postup při výzkumu, analýzu a interpretaci životních příběhů dlouhodobých dobrovolníků v nemocnici, která je zpracována prostřednictvím narativní analýzy. Cílem práce je porozumět dlouhodobému dobrovolnictví v nemocnici u pracujících dobrovolníků v kontextu jejich životního příběhu.

Abstract:

Master's Thesis is concentrated on the topic of long-term volunteering in hospital at working volunteers in the context of the life story. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and empiric part. The first chapter of the theoretical part is dedicated to volunteering, the term of volunteering and its types are defined. The meaning of volunteering and the current volunteering trends are also mentioned in the chapter. In the second chapter, the volunteering in hospital and its history are mentioned here. The next part of the chapter is concentrated on volunteering centre and volunteering contribution to hospital. The topic of the third chapter is motivation in volunteering. Different perspectives connected with motivation are mentioned in the first part. Moreover, theories of motivation in the context of volunteer work and the main factors which influence the motivation to long-term volunteering. The empiric part contains research methodology, analysis and interpretation of the hospital long-term volunteers' life stories, which is made by means of the narrative analysis. The main goal of the thesis is to understand the long-term volunteering in hospital at working volunteers in the context of their life story.
