Tato diplomová práce se zabývá mezinárodní smlouvou coby pramenem práva Evropské unie. Práce nejprve vymezuje pojmy mezinárodní právo veřejné a právo Evropské unie, a následně tyto dva právní systémy porovnává. Cílem diplomové práce je poskytnout čtenáři přehled o všech typech mezinárodních smluv, které se v právu Evropské unie vyskytují, a dále objasnění postupu při jejich uzavírání.
