Respecting patient intimacy in intensive care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku dodržování intimity pacientů. Teoretická část je zaměřena na budování důvěry mezi sestrou a pacientem, role sestry, práva pacientů, hygienickou péči pacientů na lůžku a komunikaci sester s pacienty. Empirická část popisuje průběh skrytého pozorování, které autorka zaznamenala do záznamových archů a následně vše vyhodnotila. Byly stanoveny dva hlavní cíle a sedm výzkumných otázek, které byly rozpracovány do kategorií a subkategorií. Všechny výsledky tohoto výzkumu byly porovnávané s dalšími studiemi, které se opírají o téma intimity pacientů.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the issue of patient intimacy. The theoretical part focuses on building trust between nurse and patient, the role of the nurse, patient’s rights, hy-gienic care of patients at the bedside and communication between nurses and pa-tients. The empirical part describes the course of the hidden observation, which the author recorded in recording sheets and then evaluated everything. Two main ob-jectives and seven research questions were identified and developed into categories and subcategories. All the results of this research were compared with other studies that rely on the topic of the patient intimacy.
