Model situation within an education process of policeman in home violence problematic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Modelová situace ve vzdělávání policistů v problematice domácího násilí ve své teoretické části vychází z nastínění určitého společenského posunu domácího násilí, který se mimo jiné projevil i zakomponováním této problematiky do vzdělávacích cílů Základní odborné přípravy začínajících policistů. Absolvent Základní odborné přípravy umí domácí násilí identifikovat a odlišit jej od tzv. jednorázových incidentů a ovládá dovednosti důležité pro účinnou intervenci v násilném vztahu a k pomoci ohrožené osobě. K dosažení těchto didaktických cílů jsou využívány didaktické metody modelových situací včetně tzv. zpětné vazby, které pomáhají teoretické znalosti začínajícího policisty přetvářet v aplikační dovednosti a zvyšují tak jeho kompetence pro reálnou intervenci. Stěžejní částí této Diplomové práce je objasnění didaktické metody modelových situací včetně poskytování zpětné vazby a zdůraznění faktorů a principů, jenž zvyšují její efektivitu v pedagogickém procesu nejen v problematice domácího násilí. Součástí této práce jsou i dvě komplexní modelové situace zaměřené na zjišťování znaků domácího násilí. Provedeným kvalitativním výzkumem realizovaným metodou ohniskové skupiny s šesti studenty Základní odborné přípravy pak ověřuji jejich vnímání problematiky domácího násilí a prožívání v průběhu modelové situace zaměřené na identifikaci domácího násilí. Dále pak jak přijímali zpětnou vazbu poskytovanou ze strany jejich spolužáků a pedagogů a zda-li sami subjektivně vnímají, že prožitek z modelové situace a následné zpětné vazby zvýšil jejich kompetence k reálné intervenci v násilném vztahu.

Abstract:

In its theoretical part, the thesis “Sample Situation in Education of Police in the Domestic Violence Area“outlines certain social progress in an attitude to a domestic violence issue which resulted also in implementation of this matter among the educational goals of the Elementary Professional Training of the Trainee Policemen. Not only that a graduate of the Elementary Professional Training is able to identify the domestic violence and distinguish it from so called impulsive incidents, he/she is also proficient in skills necessary for both effective intervention in a violent relationship and assistance to an endangered person. In order to achieve the mentioned goals, educational methods of the sample situations including so called feed-back are used. These methods help to develop theoretical knowledge of the trainee policemen into the practise skills and hence, intensify his/her competence for a real intervention. The main part of the thesis is represented by an explanation of the educational method of the sample situations including feedbacks, as well as the highlight of factors and principles that increase the effectiveness of this method in an educational process, not only in the area of a domestic violence issue. The thesis also contains two comprehensive sample situations focused on identification of the domestic violence factors. In its practical part, the thesis contains a research carried out by a focus group method. The focus group was formed by six students attending the Elementary Professional Training. During the research, students’ attitudes to the domestic violence issue as well as their own feelings in the course of a sample situation have been tested. The way they react on the feedback given by their class mates and teachers and their own opinions on whether this experience and subsequent feedback increased their competence to a real intervention in a violent relationship have been also subject to the research.
