The Sharing Economy in Tourism

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá sdílenou ekonomikou v cestovním ruchu. Teoretická část je zaměřena na charakteristiku výchozích předpokladů pro vznik fenoménu sdílené ekonomiky, popisuje trh cestovního ruchu a jeho současné trendy s důrazem na vliv technologií. Praktická část se následně soustředí na charakterizování sdílené ekonomiky včetně jejích specifik, postavení na trhu, a především pak na působení tohoto fenoménu v cestovním ruchu, konkrétně na trzích ubytovacích a dopravních služeb. Praktická část práce dále obsahuje případové studie společností Airbnb a Uber na českém trhu, které doplňuje predikcí budoucího vývoje sdílené ekonomiky v cestovním ruchu.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the sharing economy in tourism. The theoretical part describes basic conditions for creation and rise of the phenomenon of sharing economy, characterizes tourism market and recent tourism trends with the emphasis on the influence of technologies. The practical part later deals with characterization of the sharing economy, determination of its specifics and position on the market and most importantly researches the role and influence of this phenomenon in tourism field, especially in the areas of accommodation and transportation services. The practical part also presents case studies of Airbnb and Uber on the Czech market which are followed by the prediction of future development of the sharing economy in tourism.
