Work-Life Balance of working women after maternity and parental leave

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkušenost pracujících českých žen, které mají děti ve věku do tří let, s harmonizací pracovního a soukromého života. Cílem práce bylo zachytit jedinečnou zkušenost pracujících matek a zjistit, jaké nástroje využívají ke skloubení pracovní a rodinné sféry a s jakými překážkami se potýkají. Výzkum byl proveden pomocí kvalitativního šetření, kterého se účastnily čtyři respondentky. Data byla analyzována pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy, z níž vzešla čtyři společná témata: „Mateřská identita“, „Práce jako dar“, „Bez podpory by to nešlo“ a „Být dobrou mámou“.

Abstract:

This Master's thesis explores the Work-Life Balance experiences of Czech working women who are mothers of children up to the age of three. The aim of this study was to capture the unique experience of these working mothers, uncovering the strategies they employ to integrate their professional and family lives, as well as the challenges they encounter. The research was conducted using a qualitative design, in which four female respondents participated. The collected data were analyzed using the method of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, from which four common themes emerged: "Maternal identity", "Work as a gift", "It wouldn't be possible without support", and "Being a good mother".
