Training of receptive language skills as part of preparation for the didactic test in German language

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis deals with specific teaching methods and didactic strategies which can be used in language education during the training for the didactic test in German language. The theoretical part of this thesis is dedicated to the main ideas of the innovative state school-leaving exam as well as the impacts of its introduction on different secondary school types in the Czech Republic. It describes the new concept of the exam as well as all its parts in detail with focus on the didactic test. The second part includes the research work, which is based on feedback from students and on the analysis of some didactic tests from previous years. The practical part of this diploma thesis is based on the outputs of its empiric part, which are transformed into useful teaching techniques and strategies integrated into practical language units and which are supposed to be beneficial in the process of the training for the didactic test as a part of the new state school-leaving exam.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je objasnit, jak se lze za pomoci specifických výukových strategií vypořádat se současnou koncepcí didaktického testu v rámci státní maturity z cizího jazyka. Teoretická část seznamuje s jednotlivými dílčími zkouškami státní maturity z německého jazyka a to zejména s podrobnou koncepcí didaktického testu. Receptivní dovednosti poslech a čtení, jež didaktický test prověřuje, jsou dále teoreticky rozebírány z hlediska zákonitostí jejich osvojení ve výuce jazyků a to s ohledem na jejich pozdější praktické uplatnění při jejich nácviku v rámci cílené přípravy na didaktický test, jež je hlavním bodem praktické části této diplomové práce. Praktická část této práce vychází ze sběru dat v podobě dotazníku pro studenty a analýzy šesti didaktických testů z předchozích let, které byly v rámci empirické části této diplomové práce zkoumány z hlediska formální a jazykové stránky a předkládá konkrétní výukové postupy a strategie, které mohou zásadně ovlivnit úspěšnost žáků jak při nácviku tak při samotném didaktickém testu z němčiny.
