Podstatou práce je vytvorenie metodiky na spracovanie Big Data v oblasti dopravných výskumov. Práca je rozdelená do šiestich častí. Úvod práce je venovaný motivácii tejto práce. Následne sa venuje pre-hľadu súvisiacich štúdii a článkov, z ktorých bola odvodená časť meto-diky. V tretej časti sa nachádza vysvetlenie kontextu, v ktorom práca vznikla.
