Evaluation of Employee Satisfaction in Selected Industrial Company

Abstract:

Tématem práce je zjištění spokojenosti zaměstnanců ve vybraném strojírenském podniku na základě využití Herzbergovy metody a metody využité v práci "Job Satisfaction 2017. Metody definují přístup ke zjišťování, práci a interpretaci významných motivačních faktorů ovlivňujících jednotlivé zaměstnance. Pocit s pokojenosti a štěstí v práci je prokázán jako jeden z hlavních faktorů majících vliv na úspěšnost organizace jako celku. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zmapovat aktuální stav motivační strategie a spokojenosti zaměstnanců ve vybraném strojírenském podniku. Byla využita primární data z osobního sběru informací pomocí rozhovoru s vedením podniku a dvou zhotovených dotazníků zacílených na personál. První dotazník využívá Herzbergovy tradiční a ověřené metody. Druhý dotazník využívá přístupu Happiness Research Institutu, který je inovativnější a umožňuje také možnost benchmarkingu mezi podniky. Analyzována byla dále saturace motivačních faktorů ze strany zaměstnanců, která za pomoci statistického porovnání s významnými motivačními faktory poukazuje na největší nedostatky v motivaci zaměstnanců. Zjišťována byla také rozdílnost preferencí v závislosti na věku respondentů, pracovní pozici a délce praxe zaměstnance ve vybraném podniku. Výsledky a vyhodnocení výzkumu přináší přehled důležitých motivačních faktorů, méně důležitých motivačních faktorů a míru saturace jednotlivých faktorů. Dále byla vypočtena míra spokojenosti zaměstnanců v podniku a porovnána s výsledky jiných podniků z již provedených výzkumů. Unikátní hodnotou práce je vyzdvižení existence rozdílnosti preferencí zaměstnanců s ohledem na jejich věk. Změny preferencí na základě přibývajícího věku, jsou detailně interpretovány.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is to find out, whether employees are satisfied in an engineering company. Herzberger's and "Job Satisfaction" methods define an approach to recognition, work and interpretation of significant motivational factors determining all employees. The feeling of satisfaction and happiness at work are proved to be as one of the main factor having an affect on the fruitfulness of company as a unit. The object of this thesis was to map the actual situation of motivational strategy and employees satisfaction in engineering company. Primary data were used from personal collection of information with help of interviews, which were made with company management, and two employee questionnaires. The first questionnaire uses traditional and verificated Herzberger's methods. The second questionnaire uses the approach of the Happines Research institute, which is more inovative and offers a benchmarking within the companies. A saturation of motivational factors was analyzed from employees side, which with help of statistical comparing and significant motivational factors refers to the biggest gaps in employees motivation. Also different ages, job position and the length of practice between the employees had the affect on preferences. The results and evaluation of this research bring the summary of important motivational factors and the level of factor saturation in. Futhermore the level of employee satisfaction was calculated and compared with other results from companies which took the same or similar research. The unique value of this research is an accentuation of existence of different preferences in relation to their distinct age. The change of preferences based on increasing age were interpreted in detail in the research section of this thesis.
