The role of a teacher's assistant in the education of pupils with a different mother tongue at the 1st level of the selected primary school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o podpoře žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem v oblasti vzdělávání na prvním stupni základní školy v podobě asistenta pedagoga. V teoretické části se zaměřujeme na dva základní prvky, které jsou podstatou celé práce. Jedním je asistent pedagoga, jeho legislativní ukotvení, náplň práce, kompetence a podpora asistenta pedagoga. Druhým prvkem je žák s odlišným mateřským jazykem. Opět je uveden přehled legislativy a podpůrná opatření, která se vztahují k cílové skupině. Teoretická část je zakončena spoluprací a komunikací rodiny žáka s odlišným mateřským jazykem a školou. Výzkumná část zkoumá právě podporu žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem, která je poskytovaná ze strany asistenta pedagoga ve spolupráci s učitelem. Analyzuje a popisuje kompetence asistentů pedagoga, ale i naopak, posuzuje a vyhodnocuje podporu v profesním rozvoji ze strany vedení školy a oporu školního poradenského pracoviště.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the support of pupils with a different mother tongue in the field of education at the first level of primary school in the form of a teaching assistant. The theoretical part focuses on two basic elements that are the essence of the whole thesis. One element is the teaching assistant, its legislative anchorage, the job description, the competences, and the teaching assistant's support. The second element is the pupil with a different mother tongue. Again, the overview of the legislation and support measures that apply to the target group are given. The theoretical part ends with the cooperation and communication between the family of the pupil with a different mother tongue and the school. The research part examines specifically the support for pupils with a different mother tongue that is provided by the teaching assistant in cooperation with the teacher. It analyses and describes the competences of teaching assistants, but also, conversely, it assesses and evaluates the support in professional development provided by the school management and the support of the school counselling centre.
