A comparison between the banking system of the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je porovnat bankovní systém Ruské federace a České republiky. Nejdříve je pozornost věnována historii a charakteristice bankovního systému jako celku od počátku až do současnosti. Jsou zde popsány hlavní funkce a měnová politika centrální banky. Dále tato práce obsahuje historický vývoj obou bankovních systémů od počátku, kdy začaly vznikat centrální banky, až do současnosti, kdy bankovní systém se stal neoddělitelnou součásti ekonomiky jednotlivých zemí. Blíže se tato práce zaměřuje na charakterizování hlavních cílů a nástrojů měnové politiky centrální banky Ruska a ČR. Zmíněno je také o regulaci a dohledu nad bankovním systémem obou zemí. Jsou zde popsány povinnosti, které musí dodržovat banky a hlavní činnosti CB. V poslední kapitole jsou porovnávány bankovní systémy obou zemí, popsány odlišnosti obou bankovních systémů.

Abstract:

The goal of this diploma thesis is to compare the Russian and Czech banking systems. Firstly, attention focusses on history and the characterization of banking system as a whole from the outset to the present day. The main functions are described here as well as the monetary policy of the central bank. This thesis also includes the historical development of both banking systems from the outset, when the first banks were established, until the present day, when banking system has become an intrinsic component of the world's economy. This thesis is more closely focused on the characterization of the main goal?s and the tools of monetary policy by the central banks of Russia and the Czech republic. Mentioned is also the regulation and supervision of both banking systems. Described are the duties which the bank's have to attend to and the main activities of the central bank. In the last chapter,the differences between the banking systems are discussed.
