Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo nahlédnout do vzpomínek mé rodiny, seznámení se s jejich pocity a myšlenky na dané prostředí z jejich strany. Zajímalo mne srovnání mezi jednotlivými členy i časový odstup a tak vzniklo krátké dokumentární, částečně mapující video místa a následně i instalace, kterou chci vyjádřit, jak je pro mě ,,naše" skála důležitá. Pozorně jsem čekala na další vnitřní či vnější impulzy, z kterých vyplynou nové možnosti, jež by lépe naplnily můj záměr.

Abstract:

My work is mapping a landscape and a specific place in my native residence to which I have a very personal relationship. I've chosen it for a seemingly ordinary rock called The Snake Rock by the residents. The meaning of the rituals is a paradox. They hold us in the hills and on the steep slopes of the world, where we otherwise lose balance and in the same time they free us from a desperate mud of this world, in which we've got stuck. Ritual behaviour enriches those life moments, when we remind to ourselves, how beautiful is to be human. Because that is exactly what I feel, when I get to the top. The time of heart is not the same as the time of clock and ritual should never be rushed. This rock was and always will be something more. A place full of memories and that is why I've focused my work to this place. Purpose of this work is to look into the memories of my family, understand to thein feelings and thoughts on a certain environment. I was interested in comparing every single member and interval and that is why a short, documentary, partially mapping video of a place and subsequently installation, with which I want to express, how is our rock important for me got created.
