Daňová politika v souvislosti s hospodářským růstem: Perspektiva Ghany

Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá souvislost mezi zdaněním a hospodářským rozvojem Ghany. Studie využívá časové řady dat z let 1990 až 2022 a k analýze používá Johansenův test, Grangerův test kauzality a vektorový model korekce chyb. Výsledky kointegrace odhalily dlouhodobou vzájemnou závislost mezi zkoumanými proměnnými. Analýza naznačila pozitivní a trvalý vliv kapitálových výdajů na hospodářský pokrok Ghany, zatímco mezi výdaji na příjmy a růstem byl pozorován negativní vztah. Grangerův test kauzality potvrdil jednosměrnou vazbu mezi daňovými příjmy a hospodářským rozvojem. Na základě těchto zjištění studie doporučuje, aby vláda rozšířila daňovou základnu zahrnutím více ekonomických činností a odvětví. Dále se doporučuje zvýšit efektivitu daňové správy, aby se posílilo úsilí o hospodářský růst země

Abstract:

This thesis explores the relatedness between taxation and Ghana's economic development. Utilizing time series data from 1990 to 2022, the study employed the Johansen test, the Granger causality test, and the vector error correction model for analysis. The cointegration results revealed a long-term interdependence among the variables under consideration. The analysis suggested a positive and sustained impact of capital expenditure on Ghana's economic advancement, while a negative relationship was observed between revenue expenditure and growth. The Granger causality test supported a unidirectional link from tax revenue to economic development. Based on these findings, the study recommends that the government broaden the tax base by incorporating more economic activities and sectors. Furthermore, enhancing tax administration effectiveness is advised to bolster the country's economic growth efforts.
