The care for newborn - comparative study Czech Republic-Belgium

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá systémem ošetřovatelské péče o fyziologického novorozence. Cílem práce je porovnání jednotlivých postupů péče o novorozence ve dvou porodnicích, v porodnici AZ Nikolaas ve městě Sint-Niklaas v Belgii a Fakultní porodnice Brno, Obilní trh. Práce se zaměřuje na problematiku prvního ošetření novorozence po porodu, popisuje jednotlivé pracovní postupy, zdůrazňuje především odlišnosti identifikace novorozence v obou porodnicích. Zabývá se také každodenním ošetřením novorozence po celou dobu pobytu v porodnici s matkou se zaměřením hlavně na péči o kůži novorozence, na screeningová vyšetření a rozdílný přístup ke kojení a krmení umělou výživou v souvislosti s doporučením WHO a Laktační ligy ČR. Nedílnou součástí této práce je porovnávání péče o novorozence v kompetenci dětských sester a porodních asistentek. Sleduje také dodržování doporučení odborných organizací (AWHONN a ČneoS).

Abstract:

This work deals with the nursing care system for a physiological newborn. The objective of my work to compare particular procedures of care for newborns in two maternity hospitals, AZ Nikolaas in Sint Niklaas, Belgium and the Teaching hospital Brno, Obilni trh. The work focuses mainly on the issues of the first treatment of a newborn immediately after the birth, describes the particular procedures and tries to emphasize the differences between the identifying of a newborn infant in both hospitals. Another topic is the day-to-day care for newborns during the whole stay in the hospital with the mother with special attention to the care for the skin of the newborn, screening examinations and the different attitudes towards breast- and artificial feeding with respect to the recommendations of the WHO and the Czech Lactational league. An important part of this work is the comparison of competences of children’s nurses and midwives with regard to care for a newborn. Last but not least we follow how the recommendations of specialist organizations (for example AWHONN) are adhered to.
