Manifestations of Bureaucratization in Social Work

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na projevy byrokratizace v sociální práci, a především na ty, které mají vliv na sociální pracovníky při výkonu jejich profese a na to, jakým způsobem se s těmito projevy sociální pracovníci vyrovnávají. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit s jakými projevy byrokratizace se sociální pracovníci při výkonu své profese setkávají a jak tyto projevy vnímají. Cíl byl naplněn za pomocí získaných odpovědí na tři dílčí výzkumné otázky. Výzkum byl prováděn kvalitativní výzkumnou strategií a bylo využito metody sběru dat polostrukturovaného interview a focus group. Získaná data byla zpracována za pomocí otevřeného, axiálního a selektivního kódování. Teoretická část diplomové práce se zaměřuje na historii byrokracie, její vznik, teorii dle autorů Maxe Webera, Roberta Mertona a Michela Croziera, projevy v oblasti sociální práce, formy byrokratických organizací dle Mintzberga a na to, jakou roli hraje v byrokratické organizaci sociální pracovník.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on manifestations of bureaucratization in social work, especially those that impact social workers in the performance of their profession and how social workers cope with these manifestations. The aim of the thesis is to determine what manifestations of bureaucratization social workers encounter in the performance of their profession and how they perceive these manifestations. The goal was achieved through the obtained answers to three specific research questions. The research was conducted using a qualitative research strategy and employed data collection methods of semi-structured interviews and focus groups. The gathered data was processed using open, axial, and selective coding. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the history of bureaucracy, its origins, theories by authors Max Weber, Robert Merton, and Michel Crozier, manifestations in the field of social work, forms of bureaucratic organizations according to Mintzberg, and the role of the social worker in a bureaucratic organization.
