The Development of Insurance Markets of the former Yugoslav Countries

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Vývoj pojistných trhů států bývalé Jugoslávie“ je podrobná charakteristika pojistných trhů států bývalé Jugoslávie a posouzení jejich vývoje a úrovně. První kapitola obsahuje východiska řešené problematiky, a tvoří tak základy pro další části práce. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na vývoj pojistných trhů států bývalé Jugoslávie, tedy na vývoj pojistných trhů Slovinska, Chorvatska, Srbska, Černé Hory, Bosny a Hercegoviny, Makedonie a Kosova. Ve třetí kapitole je na základě vybraných ukazatelů úrovně pojistného trhu provedena komparace pojistných trhů států bývalé Jugoslávie. Poslední část práce je věnována empirické analýze, v rámci které jsou za použití Spearmanova korelačního koeficientu testovány hypotézy o pořadové nezávislosti úrovně pojistného trhu a vybraných ukazatelů.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis "The Development of Insurance Markets of the former Yugoslav Countries" is a detailed characterization of the insurance markets of the former Yugoslavia states and the assessment of their development and level. The first chapter contains the basic information about the issue, thus forming the basis for further parts of the work. The second chapter focuses on the development of insurance markets in the former Yugoslavia, namely on the development of the insurance markets of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Kosovo. In the third chapter, on the basis of selected indicators of the insurance market level, the comparisons of the insurance markets of the former Yugoslavia countries are performed. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the empirical analysis, in which the hypotheses about the rank independence of the insurance market and selected indicators are tested with the use of the Spearman's correlation coefficient.
