Organization of services and protection of the rights of clients with mental illness

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou, jak je z pohledu pracovníků v sociálních službách chráněno právo klientů s duševním onemocněním a jestli je ve vybrané organizaci uplatňováno jejich právo na sebeurčení. Práce popisuje základní lidská práva a konkrétní práva osob s duševním onemocněním. Dále teoreticky vymezuje psychotické poruchy a uvádí vhodné metody sociální práce o duševně nemocné klienty ve vybrané organizaci. V práci je popsána charakteristika a organizační struktura organizace a je zde popsána úloha managementu ve vztahu k poskytované dobré praxi v sociálních službách. Na základě výzkumné otázky, je v praktické části zvolen kvalitativní výzkum, za použití polo-standardizovaných čtyř rozhovorů s pracovníky v sociálních službách. Na doplnění jsou ve výzkumu analyzované dokumenty vybrané organizace.

Abstract:

This thesis examines how from the perspective of workers in social services protected by the right of clients with mental illness and if the selected organization exercised their right to self-determination. The thesis describes the fundamental human rights and the specific rights of persons with meal illness. Furthermore, theoretically it defines psychotic disorders and provides suitable methods of social work for mentally ill clients in an organization. The work describes the characteristic and organizational structure of the organization and describes the role of management in relation to the provision of good practice in social services. Based on the research questions, in the practical part is chosen qualitative research, using four semi structured interviews with social service workers. To complement the research analyzed the documents of the selected organization.
