Selected techniques to improve loading speed of web pages

Abstract:

Cílem práce je představit techniky pro zrychlení načítání webových stránek a jejich analýza z pohledu doby načítání webových stránek. V práci bude provedena analýza nástrojů pro měření doby načítání webových stránek a nástrojů pro minimalizaci zdrojových kódu. Dále se bude práce zabývat různými formáty obrázků používanými na webových stránkách a analýzou možností jejich použití. V práci bude porovnání způsobu tvorby responzivních webových stránek postupem mobile fist a desktop first, dále bude nastíněna problematika zobrazování obrázků na zařízeních s vysokým rozlišením a popsáno základní cachování pomocí souboru .htaccess. Na závěr práce bude popsán protokol HTTP/2, v čem se liší od stávajícího protokolu HTTP/1.1 a jak připravit webovou stránku na tento protokol.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to introduce techniques to improve loading speed of web pages and their analysis from the perspective of the load time of web pages. In this work will be an analysis of tools for measuring the load time of web pages and tools for minifying the source code. Further the work will deal with different used image formats on the web pages and the analysis of the possibilities of their use. In the work will be the comparison of the methods of creating the web pages by mobile first and desktop first procedures and outline the issue of displaying images on devices with high resolution screens and basic storing files in web browser´s local storage using the .htaccess file. At the conclusion of the work will be described a new version of HTTP/2 protocol and differences from the current version HTTP/1.1 and how to prepare a web page for the protocol HTTP/2.
