Creative Expression in People with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá výtvarným projevem jedinců s poruchou autistického spektra. Teoretická část vymezuje poruchy autistického spektra, pojednává o základních oblastech postižení, klasifikaci a charakteristice jednotlivých poruch. V práci se zabývám problematikou výtvarného projevu, vývojem a specifiky dětského výtvarného projevu a projevu jedinců s poruchou autistického spektra, nezapomínám na aspekt výchovy ve výtvarném projevu. Praktická část je věnována vlastnímu kvalitativnímu výzkumu. Výzkumná data byla dále získávána polostrukturovaným rozhovorem, zúčastněným pozorováním a jako hlavní technika byla použita analýza výtvarných prací vybrané skupiny jedinců s poruchou autistického spektra. Získané anamnestické údaje byly prezentovány formou případových studií. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce bylo charakterizovat projevy specifik postižení jedinců s poruchou autistického spektra v jejich výtvarném projevu.

Abstract:

The bachelor theses deals with visual art expression of individuals affected with autistic spectrum disorders. The theoretical part is focused on the general introduction of the area of autistic spectrum disorders, there are classifications and characteristics of these particular disorders. In the theses I deal with the issue of visual art expression, with the development and specifics of the child’s creative expression and expression of individuals with pervasive development disorders, I do not forget the educational aspect in the visual art. The practical part devotes its attention to its own qualitative research. Research data were gained from a semistructured interview, a participant observation. An analyse of visual art works of a selected groups of individuals with pervasive development disorders was used as the main technique. The main goal of my bachelor theses was to characterise the manifestations of disability specifics of individuals with autistic spectrum disorder in their creative expression.
