Abstract:

Diplomová práce rozpracovává a zkoumá vztah mezi důvěrou v média a agendou setting. Teoretická část shrnuje poznatky o důvěře a médiích. Praktická část práce, která je realizovaná pomocí dotazníkové šetření a kvantitativní obsahové analýzy vybraných médií, potvrzuje hypotézu schopnosti masových médií nastolovat témata do veřejného prostoru. Závěrem potvrzuje stanovenou hypotézu o tom, že pokud roste četnost daného tématu v médiích, tak klesá četnost odpovědí, že respondent médiím nedůvěřuje, která naplňuje cíl práce, kterým je zjistit, jaký je vztah mezi důvěrou a agendou setting.

Abstract:

The Diploma Thesis elaborates and examines the relationship between the trust in media and the agenda setting theory. The theoretical part summarises findings about trust and the media. The practical part includes a questionnaire construction and a quantitative content analysis of selected media. It confirms the hypothesis of mass media ability to bring topics to the public. The Thesis concludes by confirming a stated hypothesis that with increasing frequency of a given topic in the media, the frequency of answers that the respondent does not trust in the media decreases. This meets the goal of the Thesis, which is to describe the relationship between trust and the agenda setting theory.
