Analysis of Denominal Suffixation in Italian: agent nouns
Abstract:
The thesis deals with one part of word formation processes in Italian, concretely denominal suffixation, and focuses on a study of agent nouns and their suffixes (-aio, -aro, -aiolo, -aiuolo, -arolo, -iere, -iero, -ario, -ista) in diachronic and synchronic points of view: etymology, productivity, functionality and possible meanings.
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá jednou částí slovotvorných procesů v italštině, konkrétně denominální sufixací, a je zaměřena na studium činitelských jmen a jejich sufixů (-aio, -aro, -aiolo, -aiuolo, -arolo, -iere, -iero, -ario, -ista) z diachronního i synchronního pohledu: etymologii, produktivitu, funkčnost a možné významy.
