Modern check-in systems in public transport

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá především moderními odbavovacími systémy a technologiemi, které jsou s nimi spjaté, s cílem navrhnout vhodná vylepšení pro odbavovacísystém v Pražské integrované dopravě. Nejprve jsou obecně představeny pojmy Internet ofThings, Smart Cities a Smart Public Transport. Další kapitola je zaměřena na odbavovacísystémy, nejprve je objasněn jejich vývoj a historie, poté současný stav v Pražskéintegrované dopravě, a nakonec jsou uvedeny a popsány moderní odbavovací systémyfungující v různých evropských dopravních systémech. Třetí kapitola se zabývá Pražskouintegrovanou dopravu, konkrétně organizací ROPID, dopravními prostředky a tarifnímiomezeními. Poslední kapitola se pak zabývá návrhy na vylepšení odbavovacího systémuPražské integrované dopravy, popisuje funkčnost jednotlivých řešení, charakterizuje a porovnává jejich výhody a nevýhody, a nakonec je pomocí vícekriteriální analýzy variantvybrána kompromisní varianta a všechna řešení jsou dle výsledků analýzy seřazeny odnejvhodnější po nejméně vhodnou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals primarily with modern check-in systems and attached technologies in order to suggest appropriate improvements for PID. First, the concepts of Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Smart Public Transport are introduced. The next chapter focuses on check-in systems, its history, development, and the current situation in PID. At the end of this chapter different modern check-in systems used in multiple European transportation systems are listed and described. The third chapter discusses PID, with attention to the organization ROPID, varying means of transport, and tariff restrictions. Finally, the last chapter deals with suggestions of appropriate improvements to PID's check-in system and describes the functionality of all alternatives, including its advantages and disadvantages. At the end of the last chapter all alternatives are analysed by multi-criteria analysis of variants to find the compromise variant. All alternatives are sorted from the most appropriate to the least appropriate.
