Data protection on the most used smartphone platforms

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Ochrana dat na nejrozšířenějších platformách smartphonů“ se zabývá bezpečnostními aplikacemi, které minimalizují rizika zneuţití osobních dat při odcizení či ztrátě mobilního telefonu. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí, na teoretickou a empirickou. První kapitola popisuje ve stručnosti klíčový pojem smartphone. Dále je zde popsána aktuální problematika ochrany dat a jsou zde představeny mobilní hrozby. V další kapitole je popsána obecně bezpečnost operačního systému, která zabezpečuje mobilní telefon před rizikem zneuţití osobních dat. Následuje krátké představení tří nejrozšířenějších mobilních operačních systémů a vymezení specifických bezpečnostních funkcí jednotlivých operačních systémů. V další kapitole je popsán princip fungování geolokačních bezpečnostních aplikacích. Závěrečnou kapitolu tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, ve kterém jsem pomocí komparační analýzy porovnal vybrané aplikace na nejrozšířenějších platformách smartphonů a poskytl závěrečné shrnutí.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „Data protection on the most used smartphone platforms” deals with security applications, which minimize the risk of loss personal data in case of theft or loss mobile phone. The thesis is devided into two parts, the theoretical and the empirical one. In the first chapter, there is descripe term "smartphone". There is also describe the current issue of data protection and are presented mobile threats. The next chapter describes typically security of the operating system, which secure mobile phone from the risk of loss personal data. There is presentation three most used mobile operating system and the definition of specific security features of different operating systems. In next chapter, there is describe function geolocation security applications. The last part of the thesis contains a qualitative research, in which used comparative analysis compared selected applications compared on the most used smartphone platform and provide summary includes evaluation.
