Teachers' experience with the education of pupils with specific learning disabilities in the secondary school environment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o tématu Zkušenosti učitelů se vzděláváním žáků se specifickými poruchami učení v prostředí středních škol. Cílem je zjistit, jaké možnosti vzdělávání mají žáci s poruchami učení na středních školách a jak k výuce těchto žáků přistupují jejich učitelé. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část popisuje problematiku specifických poruch učení tak, aby byla zřejmá jejich charakteristika, členění, příčiny vzniku, příznaky a možnosti diagnózy. Zásadním aspektem je zde oblast vzdělávání žáků se specifickými poruchami učení, kterou vymezuje a ovlivňuje daná legislativa, podpůrná opatření či individuální vzdělávací plán. Metodami použitými pro zpracování teoretické části jsou analýza a syntéza, kterým byly podrobeny literární, internetové zdroje a příslušná legislativa.Cílem praktické části je zjistit aktuální postoje a zkušenosti učitelů středních škol k problematice vzdělávání žáků se specifickými poruchami učení, jaká je jejich spolupráce se specifickými složkami poradenského systému, se samotnými žáky i jejich rodiči. K naplnění cíle bude sloužit průzkum, založený na kvantitativní metodě dotazníkového šetření. Respondenty budou pedagogové vybraných středních škol. Výsledky a získaná data z průzkumu poslouží také jako doporučení pro pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of teachers' experience with the education of pupils with specific learning disabilities in the secondary school environment. The aim is to find out what educational opportunities are available to pupils with learning disabilities in secondary schools and how their teachers approach the teaching of these pupils. The work is divided into two parts.The theoretical part describes the issue of specific learning disabilities so that their characteristics, classification, causes, symptoms and diagnosis are clear. A fundamental aspect here is the area of education of pupils with specific learning disabilities, which is defined and influenced by the given legislation, support measures or individual educational plan. The methods used for the elaboration of the theoretical part are analysis and synthesis, to which literary, internet sources and relevant legislation have been subjected.The aim of the practical part is to find out the current attitudes and experiences of secondary school teachers to the issue of education of pupils with specific learning disabilities, what is their cooperation with specific components of the counseling system, with the pupils themselves and their parents. A survey based on a quantitative method of questionnaire survey will be used to fulfill the goal. The respondents will be teachers of selected secondary schools. The results and data obtained from the survey will also serve as recommendations for pedagogical practice.
