English Non-fiction in Czech Translation (translation and commentary)
Abstract:
The aim of this diploma thesis is to translate an extract from a non-fiction English text to the Czech language, its stylistic analysis, exposition and analysis of options for problematic and interesting parts of the translation. The extract is from the book called Scar Tissue, an autobiography by Anthony Kiedis, the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Abstract:
Cílem této diplomové práce je přeložit ukázku z anglicky psané literatury faktu, stylistický rozbor ukázky, interpretace a rozbor možných řešení překladatelsky obtížných a zajímavých pasáží. Úryvek je z knihy s názvem Scar Tissue. Jedná se o autobiografii, jejímž autorem je Anthony Kiedis, zpěvák kapely Red Hot Chili Peppers.
