Byzantine Reconquista of the West during the Reign of Emperor Justinian
Abstract:
Cílem práce je přehledně popsat a zhodnotit poslední pokus o přímé ovládnutí bývalých římských provincií na Západě, který se postupně realizoval za vlády císaře Justiniána I. Velikého. Věnovat se tak budeme Vandalům v severní Africe, Ostrogótům v Itálii a Vizigótům v Hispánii.
Abstract:
The main goal of this thesis is to synoptically describe and evaluate the last attempt of direct subjugation of former Roman provinces in the West, which was gradually realised during the reign of the emperor Justinian I. the Great. We will thus observe the Vandals in north Africa, Ostrogoths in Italy and Visigoths in Hispania.
