Injuries of cyclist in Moravian-Silesian Region

Abstract:

Popularita všední, rekreační i závodní cyklistiky stále stoupá a rozšiřuje se. S přibývajícími možnostmi výběru typu kola pro různé druhy cyklistiky se tím rozšiřuje i spektrum úrazů, se kterými se můžeme v přednemocniční neodkladné péči setkat. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou část a praktickou část. Teoretická část této bakalářské práce je zaměřena na charakteristiku a druhy cyklistiky, povinné vybavení jízdního kola a Zákon č. 361/2000 Sb. Zákon o provozu na pozemních komunikacích a o změnách některých zákonů. Dále se věnuje stručné charakteristice a popisu vybraných úrazů a poranění, jejich rozdělení a mechanismům. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou dokumentace zdravotnické záchranné služby při výjezdech k úrazům cyklistů. Náplní této části práce je analýza dat, která byla poskytnuta zdravotnickou záchrannou službou Moravskoslezského kraje, a to konkrétněji pohlaví a věk pacienta, kalendářní měsíc a čas trvání zásahu u poraněných cyklistů, typ výjezdové skupiny na místě události. Dále analýza stupně naléhavosti, který byl u pacienta vyhodnocen, indikace Zdravotnického operačního střediska, zhodnocení NACA, určení hlavní diagnózy a kam byl pacient směřován. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit stav výjezdů Zdravotnické Záchranné služby Moravskoslezského kraje k poraněným cyklistům z pohledu přednemocniční neodkladné péče.

Abstract:

The popularity of casual, recreational and racing cycling is growing and expanding. As the choice of bike type for different types of cycling increases, so does the spectrum of injuries we may encounter in pre-hospital emergency care. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis focuses on the characteristics and types of cycling, mandatory bicycle equipment and Act No. 361/2000 Coll., the Act on Road Traffic and on Amendments to Certain Acts. Furthermore, it is devoted to a brief characterization and description of selected accidents and injuries, their distribution and mechanisms. The practical part deals with the analysis of the documentation of the medical rescue service during calls to cyclists' injuries. The content of this part of the thesis is the analysis of data provided by the medical rescue service of the Moravian-Silesian Region, more specifically the sex and age of the patient, calendar month and duration of intervention for injured cyclists, type of the dispatch group at the scene. Furthermore, an analysis of the degree of urgency that was assessed for the patient, the indication of the Medical Operations Centre, the NACA assessment, the determination of the main diagnosis and where the patient was directed. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to determine the status of the Moravian-Silesian Region Medical Ambulance Service calls to injured cyclists from the perspective of pre-hospital emergency care.
