Information system for activity support of Center Pyramida at the University of Ostrava

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a implementací modulárního informačního systému pro podporu rozhodování a činností Centra Pyramida na Ostravské univerzitě, vycházející z identifikovaných interních podnikových procesů centra a uživatelských požadavků. Informační systém je vytvořen jako webová aplikace orientovaná modulárně, tudíž nabízí možnost pozdější implementace dalších modulů bez zásahu do modulů stávajících. Jednotlivé moduly jsou implementovány formou single page aplikace s využitím reaktivního progresivního frameworku Vue.js. Systém umožňuje importovat uchazeče se specifickými potřebami ze seznamu dodaného Centrem informačních technologií OU a následně s nimi pracovat v rámci přijímacího řízení, studia a dalších aktivit. Umožňuje také export zpracovaných dat tímto informačním systémem pro další účely vykazování vykonané práce studijním oddělením, MŠMT apod. Poskytuje také přehled osobám podílejícím se na chodu centra o poskytnutých a vykonaných činnostech a také datech studentů. Tato veškerá data jsou následně shromážděna na jedno centrální místo, odkud jsou dostupná všem zainteresovaným osobám, které potřebují pracovat s aktuálními informacemi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a design and implementation of modular information system created to support decision-making process and activities of Center Pyramida at the University of Ostrava, based on the analysis of its internal processes and user requirements. The information system was created as a web application using the technique of modular programming, therefore it offers the possibility of later implementation of other modules without intervention into the existing modules. The individual modules were implemented into the form of a single page application using the Vue.js reactive progressive framework. The system allows to import lists of candidates with particular requirements provided by the Centre for Information Technology of University of Ostrava and subsequently work with them during the admission procedure, throughout the study period and other activities as well. It also allows to export the data processed by this information system for other purposes such as reports provided to department of studies, MŠMT etc. Last but not least, this information system also provides an activity overview to the management of the Center as well as the database of students. These data is subsequently collected at one central place, where it is available to all stakeholders and managers who need to work with the current information.
