Possibilities of using Chromatic Association Experiment in Judging Personality Competences of Applicants for Work in Armed Forces of VS ČR (Prison Service of the Czech Republic)

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je věnována možnostem využití Chromatického asociačního experimentu při posouzení osobnostní způsobilosti uchazečů o práci v ozbrojených složkách VS ČR. Výzkumný soubor je tvořen uchazeči o zaměstnání u VS ČR Mírov na pozici strážný, kteří absolvovali psychologické vyšetření od ledna 2008 do března 2009. Záměrně jsme vybrali uchazeče, kteří byli uznáni nezpůsobilými k výkonu služby z důvodu větší rozmanitosti odchylek od normy a celkového testového obrazu CAE. Vzhledem k minimálnímu počtu žen ve výkonu strážní služby ve věznici na Mírově a zanedbatelnému počtu uchazeček na pozici strážných byli do výzkumného souboru zařazeni pouze muži ve věku 19-54 let, kteří adekvátně reprezentují skupinu psychicky nezpůsobilých uchazečů. Diagnostické možnosti CAE demonstrujeme a ověřujeme na souboru dvaceti případových studií. Přítomnost či nepřítomnost vybraných charakteristik uchazečů ve výsledcích vyšetření CAE dále srovnáváme s jejich výskytem či nepřítomností v MMPI II a testu SPARO za účelem ověření shody s testovými metodami běžně užívanými při posuzování osobnostní způsobilosti uchazečů o práci ve VS ČR.

Abstract:

This thesis is dedicated to the possibilities of using Chromatic Association Experiment(CAE) in judging personality competences of applicants for work in armed forces of VS ČR (Prison Service of the Czech Republic). The explorary group consists of applicants for work as a prison guard in Prison Service of the Czech Republic in Mírov, who went throuhg a psychological examination from January 2008 to March 2009. We chose those applicants, who were acknowledged non-capable for work in VS ČR, because of higher diversity in departure from standard scores and the whole test image of CAE. According to a low number of women working as a prison guard in the Mírov prison and the low amount of women applicants there, the explorary group consists only of men between age 19 and 54. The diagnostic capabilities of CAE are demonstrated and verified on twenty case studies. Presence or absence of chosen characteristics in the results of examination by CAE are further compared with their appearance or absence in the results of MMPI II and SPARO test for the purpose of verification the results of CAE with those tests, which are commonly used for judging personal competences for work in the prison guard.
