Energy dependence of V4 countries on natural gas imports (European perspective)

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Energetická závislost zemí V4 na dovozu zemního plynu (evropská perspektiva)“ je zaměření se na energetickou závislost zemí Visegrádské čtyřky v oblasti dovozu zemního plynu. Teoretický základ se opírá o definice energetické bezpečnosti a také spolupráci států v této oblasti, a to jak z pohledu V4, tak i z perspektivy EU. V práci je dále popsána role zemního plynu v energetickém mixu jednotlivých zemí a jejich závislosti na dovozu. Na to navazuje určení významu Ruska jako hlavního dodavatele zemního plynu a analýza těchto energetických vztahů. Poslední část práce se věnuje řešení energetické bezpečnosti u dovozu zemního plynu, které se týkají především diverzifikace dodavatelských tras.

Abstract:

The subject of the master thesis "Energy dependence of V4 countries on natural gas imports (European perspective)" is to focus on the energy dependence of the Visegrad Group countries in the area of natural gas imports. The theory is based on the definition of energy security as well as the cooperation of the countries in this area, both from a V4 and an EU perspective. The thesis also describes the role of natural gas in the energy mix of each country and their dependence on imports. This is followed by the identification of the importance of Russia as a major supplier of natural gas and an analysis of these energy relations. The last part of the thesis is devoted to energy security solutions for natural gas imports, mainly related to the diversification of supply routes.
