Nádorové kmenové buňky (NKB) byly popsány jako buňky nádoru, které se některými svými vlastnostmi podobají kmenovým buňkám a mohou být zodpovědné za rezistenci nádorového onemocnění k léčbě nebo diseminaci onemocnění u mnoha malignit včetně karcinomu prostaty.
