Inclusive education of pupils with mild mental disabilities in primary school

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je Inkluzivní vzdělávání žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením v základní škole. Teoretická část je vhledem do problematiky mentálního postižení, blíže se zaměřením na výchovu a vzdělávání dětí s lehkým mentálním postižením. V jednotlivých kapitolách se věnuje vymezení pojmů mentální retardace a mentální postižení, etiologii a klasifikaci mentálního postižení, specifikům poznávacích procesů těchto osob a charakteristice jedince s lehkým mentálním postižením. Dále se zabývá vymezením pojmů inkluze a inkluzivní třída, legislativě a faktorům ovlivňujícím úspěšnost inkluze. Další témata jsou zaměřená na vzdělávání dítěte s lehkým mentálním postižením v základní škole. Praktická část práce se zabývá případovými studiemi dvou dívek s lehkým mentálním postižením, které jsou vzdělávány v běžné základní škole. Cílem výzkumného šetření je analyzovat inkluzivní vzdělávání žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením v základní škole.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is Inclusive education of pupils with mild mental disabilities in primary school. The theoretical part is an insight into the issue of intellectual disability, with a closer focus on the education of children with mild intellectual disabilities. The individual chapters focus on the definition of the terms mental retardation and intellectual disability, the etiology and classification of intellectual disability, the specifics of the cognitive processes of these persons and the characteristics of an individual with mild intellectual disability. It also deals with the definition of the terms inclusion and inclusive classroom, legislation and factors influencing the success of inclusion. Other topics focus on the education of the child with mild intellectual disabilities in primary school. The practical part of the thesis deals with case studies of two girls with mild intellectual disabilities who are educated in a mainstream primary school. The aim of the research investigation is to analyse the inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in primary school.
