The Factors Influencing the Treatment of Drug-Addicted clients in the Therapeutic Community

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je prozkoumat faktory, které ovlivňují klienty závislé na drogách v léčbě v terapeutické komunitě. V práci jsou rozvedeny přístupy léčby, které se v terapeutických komunitách pro drogově závislé využívají. Dále jsou v rámci těchto přístupů popsány faktory, které klienty ovlivňují. Jsou zde rozděleny na faktory pomáhající a faktory komplikující. Na základě hlavní výzkumné otázky, která se ptá na faktory ovlivňující klienty závislé na drogách v léčbě v terapeutické komunitě, je zvolena kvalitativní strategie výzkumu. Zvolenou metodou šetření je polostrukturovaný rozhovor, jenž byl proveden s klienty terapeutických komunit s primární závislostí na pervitinu a s pracovníky terapeutických komunit. Výsledky šetření jsou následně interpretovány v analýze rozhovorů, na kterou navazuje zodpovězení hlavní výzkumné otázky v závěru práce a doporučení možných výzkumů v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to investigate the factors which influence the drug-addicted clients during their treatment in the therapeutic community. The thesis deals with the specific approaches to the treatment that are used in the therapeutic communities for drug addicts. Furthermore, the factors which influence the clients are described in relation to the different approaches. The factors are divided into the helping factors and the complicating factors. On the basis of the main research question, which deals with the factors influencing drug-addicted clients in the treatment in the therapeutic community, the qualitative research strategy has been chosen. The chosen method of the investigation is the semi-structured interview, which was realized with the clients of the therapeutic communities with the primary addiction to methamphetamine and with the workers from the therapeutic communities. The results of the investigation/study are interpreted in the interview analysis followed by the answer to the main research question in the conclusion of the thesis together with recommendations of some other possible research areas in this field of study.
