Zajímali jsme se o vnitřně neuspořádané proteiny (IDP), které nejsou schopny samostatně vytvořit stabilní terciární strukturu. Jsou důležité pro procesy jako určení vazebných partnerů, regulace transkripce a často jsou spojovány s neurodegenerativními chorobami. Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) characterized by polypeptide chains that fail to fold into stable and well defined tertiary structure in an isolated state have been under our interest.
