EU Energy Policy - history, present and future

Abstract:

Třebaže vymezení energetické politiky v právu Evropské unie není zcela jednoznačné, patří mezi její nejvýznamnější současné priority. Otázka zásobování a využívání energií je i nadále převážně výsadou členských zemí, avšak je také ve stále větší míře vyvíjeno úsilí o koordinaci aktivit v energetické oblasti v rámci EU. Evropská unie nedisponuje dostatečnými energetickými zdroji, které by zajistily její soběstačnost, je tedy závislá na importu energetických surovin a to i z těch oblastí světa, které nelze považovat za politicky stabilní. Jedním z nejvýznamnějších úkolů současné evropské energetické politiky je zajistit pro EU a její státy energetickou bezpečnost. Velmi sledovaným problémem je též dopad výroby energií na životní prostředí, proto bývá energetická politika často spojována s politikou environmentální. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na historický vývoj a současnost energetické politiky a její vliv na členské státy EU. Zároveň je zde proveden rozbor dopadů evropských trendů a energetické praxe některých členských zemí na energetiku České republiky.

Abstract:

Although the definition of energy policy in EU law is not entirely clear, it is one of its most important current priorities. The issue of energy supply and use is still largely the prerogative of the Member States, but efforts are increasingly being made to coordinate energy activities within the EU. The European Union does not have sufficient energy sources to ensure its own self-sufficiency, so it depends on the import of energy raw materials, even those parts of the world that can not be considered politically stable. One of the most important tasks of the current European energy policy is to ensure energy security for the EU and its states. A very high concern is also the impact of energy production on the environment, so energy policy is often associated with environmental policy. This diploma thesis focuses on the historical development and the present energy policy and its impact on the EU member states. At the same time, an analysis of the impacts of the European trends and energy practices of some member states on the Czech Republic's energy sector is made
